I have planted the Jalapeño seeds. I have planted it with squash to speed up time. I plan on doing the three sisters with the squash (I think). I have put the seeds in my own version of a greenhouse. (A plastic container with half a Ziplock bag taped on top).

Very smart to create that type of Greenhouse out of a Plastic Bag! Inspiring post and I will follow the progress!

I took off the plastic and now all the squash are sprouting! One jalapeño seedling so far. Jalapeños have a slower germination rate than squash.

I am a little afraid to separate the squash from the Jalapeño because they have long roots. Oh well. Any tips with recipes on Jalapeño peppers?

Not yet, I will try to see if my crochet hook will help. Do I seperate them when wet or dry?

I find it easiest to use my fingers and just crunch the soil a bit until it cracks open. Then I use a regular dinner knife to just lift the little Seedling out of there and into a larger Pot. Good Luck!

The Jalapenos are growing great... Unfortunately all of my squash have died. The jalapenos are finally producing peppers. This Christmas I have decided my major planting fest will consist of potato onion and habaneros. Any tips on growing potatoes? Any way to naturally get rid of bugs?

Lovely plan to have a Major Planting Fest. Image I'm preparing to start Chilli this weekend.

What kind of bugs do you have? Do you have problem after sowing, or later?
