Picked five good sized Tomatoes from one of these Plants today. Still have 4 more Tomatoes left on this Plants. Decided to pick half of them since i fear that Frost is coming. I will let the green ones ripe in my Kitchen Window. In total I have about 25-30 Tomatoes coming from the three Tomato Slices.

I will try this idea next year,
What do you look for when purchasing the initial tomato?
Do you know if there is a difference between "vine ripened" and any others?

Thanks for the pictures

Hi Nige

To be honest I got so fed up with water tasting toms I found a M&S Tom called Rosa and took three slices from one of those... I actually had 47 plants at one point and gave rest to family n friends leaving myself 30 but next year gonna do 60 as cucumber (on other side of frame we’re not a goer but these toms taste lovely. Just remember to remove everything from soil up 10 inches branches toms etc so no deceases and easier to water and after that I left the suckers on past second lot of flowers and kept removing the foliage so energy went to fruit and only left two leaves up on each stem next to a flowering branch so the leaves would feed it then as they grew I removed leaves leaving the ones further up in but trimmed again, hope this helps.
