Test to move chilli plants outdoor

Mon May 09, 2016 1:39 pm

I'm trying to move three of my chilli plants outdoor. I know that it's probably to cold (especially in the nights) but i will still try. I have plenty of plants and i will cover them with seethrough fabric to protect from cold nights. I don't have a greenhouse since my balcony is quite small. Hoping that they will be alright.

And yes i will cover the roots properly.. :-)

The 3 plants that i moved out to my balcony has really surprised me! They are the first of my chilli plants to have flowers! It has been 4-10 degrees celsius outside so this is really surprising to me! Glad that i tried it.

Yay! They look great! I think I might start moving my peppers out this weekend. It's been pretty steady at 8-10 Celsius at night now. I might be babying them too much!

The outdoor chillis are doing very good. They have more flowers and more chillis coming than my indoor chilli plants. :-)

I have about half of my chilli plants on my balcony now. They have darker leaves and more flowers and chilli than the indoor plants. Here is a picture. Sorry about the tomato plant in the middle of everything (did not see it when i took the picture..)
