Thanks! They're called Harlequin and the seeds are a mix of purple carrots, white carrots, yellow carrots and regular orange carrots. I love the purple carrots. They are still orange in the middle and are beautiful to slice.

I'm harvesting mini Cucumbers today. I've also started to prepare for my extended Kitchen Garden. I will show you some pictures in the coming weeks, as the work proceeds. Two days ago I started Autumn Crops like Pak Choi and Mizuna. Good Garden times, even though it's getting colder. It will probably be an early Autumn here this year.

It is good times in the Garden, and lovely to have fresh vegetables to pick every day. Some pics from today:

Looks great! :) My tomato seedlings are really growing! I will have to post them. I have seen many sunflowers so I wanted to grow some, so far only one has sprouted. I hope I will have lots of tomatos from the coming plants!

Autumn Seedlings. This is my last Sowing Race this Season. These cuties will secure harvest until November if Autumn is good. They will take up to -10 Degrees Celcius and are great Autumn Crops for my location - Pak Choi, Chinese Cabbage and Mizuna.

I was so happy to come home and find bright red, yellow and orange Chillies on my Plants. Seed Saving day (again!)

Image

The Orange ones are Hot Orange. The yellow are Hot Lemon and Habanero Lemon (Habanero Lemon is the shorter one in the image below).

Image

And the red ones are Chilli Brazil. They've been white, shifting into purple and bright red. Those are strong!

My lettuce seeds have sprouted 5 days after sowing, I wasn't expecting to see anything so soon.

Also finally managed to get my Chili and Tomato plants some sun!

The Tomato Plants looks great!

Ava - I'm growing Potatoes, but it was not a big success this year.. I have some pictures and will update on the Growbags this weekend.

Right now, I'm harvesting loads of stuff from the Garden. Today I brought a nice little bunch of vegetable snacks for a Friend.. Cucumbers, Peppers, Tomatoes and Chilli.

The Birds are leaving for the Winter, and this nights temperature was below zero degrees Celsius here. Time to panic harvest some stuff from the garden.

Luckily I have some beds of Pak Choi, Mizuna and Napa Cabbage on the way, and plenty of Parsley that will tolerate colder temperatures.

I've been cleaning up in the garden and preparing for winter. One of the things I've been doing is cutting cutting down the Sunchokes/Jerusalem Artichokes Stalks and covered the Bed with a blanket. I do this simply because I want to wait with the harvest and I don't want them to be stuck in frozen ground.

Beautiful sunny and cold day in the garden today! I harvested some more Sunchokes/Jerusalem Artichokes. Covering them with a blanket works very well and makes it easier to harvest them since the ground is not as deeply frozen under the blanket as it would be without it.

Image

Nice size on the Sunchokes even though the frame where they've been growing is quite tiny..

Image

I cleared out the last two raised beds with Pak Choi, Mizuna and Napa Cabbage:

The Gardening is now resting over winter until its time to start Winter Sowing in about a month or so. Some of the Raised Beds are already Prepared for Winter Sowing.

I hope that all of you are having a lovely weekend. :)

I cleaned up a lot... I also topped some chilli plants, It was very hard to cut them in half. But I know they soon will be even better than before. I also pruned other things such as corn, tomato , chili, sunflower, and olive tree... etc. I am now starting a compost bin/dump in my backyard. (Dump as in everything placed on soil not in a container.) I will plant more lettuce also. Does anyone have any chilies growing?

First spring sun is here! I've been splitting Rhubarb to Buckets today.

I've also starting to eat from these lovely Pea Shoots that's been growing in the basement for the last weeks.
